Brickbourne


Christina McCleary from Brickbourne makes pottery, sculptures, and jewelry. Her pottery includes mugs, cups, bowls, and plates in a wide range of colors and surface treatments.


All Brickbourne pottery is reduction-fired stoneware that is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Her ceramic sculptures are abstracted figures that are fired with Reduction, Raku, and Saggars processes. Brickbourne's jewelry incorporates glass beads and ceramic pendants in necklaces and earrings. Artist and Jewelry Designer Laurie Flannery delights in adornment of the body, using metal as her primary material. 

Inspired by the interplay of shapes, space and proportion, and often directed by the material itself, each piece is handcrafted in her Baltimore studio. A variety of fabrication techniques are used, as well as a variety of materials. Primarily constructed from silver, copper and bronze, additional materials may include steel, string, rubber, pearls or shells.

Shop Mother Made for presents and help a local non-profit! Mother Made Baltimore is a social enterprise in which low-income women make and sell custom designed, environmentally friendly products as a means to empowerment.



The mission of Mother Made is to promote the independence of low-income women by providing experience with entrepreneurship in an emotionally supportive environment. They make hand-dyed napkins, scarves, and home decor, as well and re-usable produce bags and tote bags. All of the products are made in Baltimore by a group of women who operate the business cooperatively while developing new skills and leadership.
